Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu: Realistic Self-Defense and Street Survival

Children’s Program

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu is a hybrid martial arts system that was formed by combining different martial art styles into one highly effective form of self-defense. Soke Richard Petronelli, the founder of Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu, has spent over forty years of his life dedicated to the perfection and conceptual understanding of various martial arts such as Kuntao, an Indonesian martial art specializing in low level strikes, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Arnis, Tuite or nerve striking, Aikido, and Kung Fu. Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu incorporates an extensive ground fighting curriculum as well as elements from the art of Muay Thai Kickboxing. To round out the Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu system, fear management, verbal defusing of situations, and mind set training were also added.

Why Does Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Include More Than One Art?

Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu was formed because one martial arts style could not cover all these aspects of self-defense. Soke Petronelli followed in the footsteps of his instructor Professor Florendo Visitacion, and created a hybrid system that is designed to give children and adults realistic self-defense knowledge. Within our modern society, a student needs to understand the many elements of self-defense. These include:
