Children’s Program

The Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu Children’s Program’s is for children 10 and ove. Our main objective is realistically teaching your child how to defend themselves and prevent possible abduction. Based off the adult curriculum the children learn realistic striking using their hand, elbows, legs, and knees. We train our children using in choke and grab defenses using impact reduction suits which allows them to perform their techniques using actual force. This also allows the instructors to notice any deficiency in their training.

Our children spend a solid portion of their training on the ground learning how to defend, control and stop an adversary should the altercation end up on the ground.

As with the adult curriculum the children also learn Ukemi (Art of Rolling and Falling), Judo Throws, Joint Manipulations, Fear Management, How to Use Intuition, and the value of Basic Survival Instincts.

  • Self–Confidence: Self-Confidence is the ability to believe in yourself and the idea that you can complete or succeed in anything that you do.
  • Discipline: Discipline is the ability to control yourself and your actions. Discipline is essential in completing tasks that may seem difficult and not immediately gratifying (rewarding).
  • Respect: Respect is manifested when one person treats another person with dignity and honor. Respect is always shown to instructors, fellow students, parents, and dojo guests.
  • Integrity: Integrity is acquired by adhering to your personal morals and ethics. Your person morals and ethical code will influence the way you conduct yourself in and outside of the dojo.
  • Good Work Ethic: A good work ethic is establish through your training regiment, by continuously trying to improve your mind, body and spirit, through conditioning your body, listening to your instructors, and making personal corrections.
