Adult Class Structure

The main objective of all our classes, especially our adult class is to teach students how to realistically defend themselves if ever attacked. With the incorporation of mindset training, such as controlling your fear, using your intuition, and basic survival instincts, we offer more than just an average martial arts school.

At the academy we take our training very seriously because the reality of a street attack can be very harsh. To teach you how to realistically defend your self, we teach you how to strike (conventional and alternative strikes) and where to strike an adversary to achieve the most effective results. Kuntao Jiu-Jitsu incorporates hand, elbow, leg, and knee strikes from the disciplines of Martial Arts, Boxing, and Muay Thai Kick Boxing.

At the academy we cover basic grab and choke defenses, which teach you to how to instinctively react to situations such as bear hugs, single and double label (shirt) grabs, hair pulls, headlock, and chokes from the front and behind. To assist in defending against grabs and chokes, joint manipulations and Judo throws are incorporated.

In the event that an adversary has taken you to the ground, or you elect to take your adversary to the pavement, we will teach Ukemi (procedures for rolling and falling), Takedowns, and Street Grappling Techniques. The main objective being to end an altercation in 3 – 5 seconds.

To complete your self-defense training you will learn mindset and physical training concerning stick, knife and gun defenses.

To add an even greater element of realism to our training, we use impact reduction suits, so you can do you techniques with actual force. This is crucial in seeing if you techniques actually work!
